Such a sunny day, it’s so bright. What the heck, my eyes hurt so much.

You yawned and felt annoyed when you saw someone moved the curtains away. He lifted and carried you outside his office. You, in the other hand, were completely red all of sudden but he didn’t notice. He then let you down and glared at you as if he commanded for you to stay.

Eh?! Yes. Why did I say that? As if he could…

You mumbled a few words to yourself and afterwards he arrived with something. A bottle of milk. You felt tempted to drink it but you hesitated. “_____, what’s wrong? You don’t like milk?” he tilted his head as he said it with an icy tone. He went near you and pulled you off the floor. You suddenly felt his warm embrace. You felt your heart was racing… for a guy like him.

His warmth is so different from anybody else… I like being in his arms.

You closed your eyes for a minute and tried to enjoy it until it lasts however you felt a bit pain. “Hey, you idiot. I didn’t told you to sleep.” he said after he pinched your nose. That hurt, really. He sighed and looked at me with his dark sharp eyes. “Seriously, can’t you take an order, ______? I carried you because I’ll be feeding you with milk. What do you think I was doing?” he explained to me the misunderstanding clearly.

…. That hurt, Corporal. You’re mean!

You ran away from him and went back to his office to hide. You suddenly felt tearing up from what he did. No, he was too oblivious to notice your feelings. From the start you’re nothing to him but just a toy for his company. You thought, at the time where he saw you all alone living inside a small abandoned cottage, took care of you and nourished you back to health and sometimes he spent his time with you… were just nothing but pity.

Before you could think of the following words you heard the door creaked. “______, I know you’re here. You’re beneath my desk, are you?” he said as he walked towards his desk. Damn it! What now, first he’s a freakin’ soldier now a psychic?! You held your breath when the sounds of his heels went louder. You closed your eyes tightly and your heart thumped nervously.

I’m screwed! I’m so totally screwed!

The darkness that dwell became light when you saw his face. He was smiling gently. His eyes were not the usual ones you see, they’re milder. And his lips curved up sweetly. In an instant, it was heaven for you. You blinked for a few times since you can’t believe it yourself that what you’re looking at was him. “Got you. Will you please drink the milk, ______?” he said slowly tilting his head while waiting for my answer.

…. Yes! Thank you for the milk, Levi!

You happily nodded and he patted your head. “Good girl, ______. Good girl.” he chuckled softly. He gave you the milk and you drank it. You felt happy not because of the milk but because of what you’ve experienced earlier. He smiled… when he saw you. He won’t admit it by saying those words but through his actions. That was enough for you, because you two are different.

I’m glad because I felt as if he said that three words to me when he smiled. I may not be able to say them directly to him but I’m happy enough just accepting his kindness. Besides, I’m just his cat.

A few minutes later…

You were given an assignment by Hanji to deliver the documents to Corporal. As you carried the stack of papers and went to his office, you heard him laugh a couple of times. You felt curious because it was so rare for him to laugh or show any other emotion to anyone he meets. You peeked just a little and listened.

“Hey, ______. You drink way too fast! You’re spilling milk on the floor.”

“______. Stop that or I’ll give punishment for it!”

“If you keep on doing this to my office _______, I’ll put you in the basement.”

Me? Was that my name he was mentioning… This is so embarrassing. Forgetting to knock, you just blurted out the words. “Corporal, who are you talking to?” Levi turned his head and saw you standing there carrying a lot of papers. “Haven’t your parents taught you to knock before entering someone’s room? … Idiot.” he was pissed off. “Um, Corporal, why do you have a cat inside your office and… why are you calling my name a few times?” you asked because you want answers.
“Cadet _____. You’re here to deliver some papers, correct? Not to pry on someone else’s business.” he glared. Sheesh, I’m just asking. Don’t be a sourpuss. You sighed and nodded. Before you closed the door, you heard Levi saying something. “Do… hate… so much, _____?”

Weird, Corporal was red earlier and again with the 'hate' question. Seriously, Corporal you need to open up to others sometimes… not just talk to a cat.

I can't believe I did this again... but I like Heichou too much that I can't ignore him and not write a one-shot again. SPOILERS ~~You'reacat!~~ SPOILERS if you read this part before reading the whole story, you'll be ruined and if not, enjoy!

Oh! And a little note for you guys, some phrases there are quite familiar to you so keep your eyes peeled. Just kidding, I'm just saying if you did saw one.
